Erosion Project Gets Underway

The long awaited erosion project began the week of September 18. If you have not looked behind Buildings 7 & 8 or the adjacent parking area, see the photos below and to right.

The coir log holds back the sand where the new grasses are planted.

Sand is dropped in behind the coir log barrier.

New grasses will expand and help to inhibit erosion.

Newly planted grasses will fill in the sand barrier behind the coir logs.
