I have a few owners interested in purchasing used kayaks - if any residents have a used kayak they would like to sell, please contact me (ligon1@comcast.net).

Maintenance issues resolved since last Board meeting:
- Water shut off to all marina slips. Antifreeze has been run through the lines on all docks - please do not turn on the faucets or it will drain out!
- Ice eaters/bubblers installed and operational.

Maintenance issues still outstanding:

- Two additional ice eaters may be installed due to spread of boats in slips this year - Corporate Services monitoring.

Marina Billing Issues

Billing to mail end of January, early February.

Guest Slips

None

Notice To Kayak/Canoe Rack Users:

There are 3 kayaks stored in places that do not belong to them.  Any owner that has placed a kayak in the racks without an assigned place, or does not know the number of their assigned place, should email the Dockmaster to resolve – ligon1@comcast.net.
We will move the incorrectly stored kayaks to the top of the rack on Apr 26th until their ownership can be determined.

New Marina Guest Slip Policy

Each unit owner or resident is permitted a maximum of 2 free guest slip nights per 30-day period. All other guest slip nights are billed at $20 each night per slip. From the week before the first boat show through the week after the last boat show, all guest slips are billed at $50/night after the 2 free slip night maximum is reached for the 30-day period. Guest boats that intend to be exhibited in any boat show will not be permitted to occupy a guest slip at any time.

Passed unanimously by the Shearwater Board of Directors,
October 17, 2005

If you have not seen it, the new kayak launch should make entry a good deal easier (particularly for the sit-inside kayaks). A far cry from how it looked after Isabel (see photo below).
